 How did you get started in wedding planning and bridal consignment?

I have my masters in elementary education and after struggling to get a job, I decided it was time to change careers.  I wanted to do something I was equally passionate about.  Having spent a majority of my time watching wedding shows and loving everything wedding,   I went back to school and got my certification in Wedding and Event Planning from the Sheffield School.  I liked that they had an internship program where I was able to work with real situations that happen when planning a wedding or event. I wanted to make sure that my passion was backed with experience and knowledge.  My enthusiasm for anything wedding, my organizational skills and my ability to stay calm when a crisis happens, makes me an assest to couples planning their weddings.

I saw a need in my area to have a place where couples could go to get the tools they need to plan their wedding and someone to assist in bringing their vision to life.  I combined that with a place for the bride to find the right dress and accessories without having to compromise because of the price point.  I have been a consignment store shopper for years and I know that you can find great new and once worn clothing at a fraction of the original price.  I also have to admit, what better excuse is there to have a lot of different bridal gowns when you are not even getting married. :)  I want to help couples create a personalized wedding just for them no matter what their budget is.

Your packages and the services you offer seem to cover every detail.  What sets you apart from other planners?

I bring to you my committment to customer service, organization, problem solving skills and my passion and excitement for wedding planning. I love being able to help couples bring their wedding vision to life and offering beautiful gowns and accessories at great prices.  I offer the unique opportunity for brides to get tips and planning advice with my newsletter, updates on facebook, and my library of planning books, tips and idea pictures.  Your wedding is about you and your vision, not mine.  I have set up packages to meet the needs of couples at any stage of their wedding planning.  My packages can also be customized to meet your needs and your budget. 

I love what you offer, but I am not sure I can afford or need a wedding planner.

A bride spend anywhere from 250 to 400 hours planning her wedding!  Wedding planners can save you time, and are not only for couples with big budgets.  A planner will help you set a budget on what you realistically can spend.  A planner can actually help you save money.  You have so many ideas of what you want for your wedding, but you have no idea where to begin.  A planner can be your greatest resource.  Planners have knowledge of etiquette, handling last minute emergencies, the inner working of events and negotiating vendor contracts.  Planners work closely with vendors and can recommend those that fit your vision and budget. A planner can help you prioritize what needs to be done keep track of all your tasks.

What is great about my packages is that I can customize them to meet your needs.  I have payment plans available for both my planning packages and my bridal gowns.  I can help with some or with all of your planning. 

Will my wedding still be about me and my ideas?

Each wedding is unique and represents you as a couple.  It is about your ideas and what you want for that day.  You and want you want will always be the main focus.  It is my job to be there as an added resource and facilitator.

Do you schedule more than one wedding a day and do you have other staff that assist you?

I do not schedule more than one wedding per day to make sure I give your wedding all the attention it deserves.  I have assistants who are available to help me for events and I make sure that they are informed and prepared with all the  details for the day.

Who will benefit most from your services?

I can help couples who want assistance with all or with just a little of the planning.  You have a vision, but are not sure what the next steps are to take.  Or you just may not have the extra time for all the tasks of planning.

Who else do I work with?

I have 2 assistants that I work with.  One is Tami and she is currently an elementary teacher.  We went to college together and she is known for her focus and ability to get things done under pressure.   The other is Chris and she is currently an elementary assistant and we met while bowling as a team on a league.   She is know for her reliability and calmness when things get stressful.  They are both a great asset!
